Where we visit
Our team is based in Springfield Central and visits participants across the City of Gold Coast, from the growing northern suburbs to the southern beaches:
- North: Coomera, Pimpama, Ormeau, Helensvale and Hope Island
- Central: Southport, Labrador, Ashmore, Nerang, Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach and Robina
- South: Varsity Lakes, Burleigh Heads, Palm Beach, Currumbin, Tugun and Coolangatta
Live somewhere in between? Call 0403 828 422 and we'll tell you straight away whether we can support you.
Support we provide on the Gold Coast
- Support work: help with personal care, meals, cleaning, shopping and appointments, arranged around your routine at home.
- Community access and life skills: getting out to the beach, the local markets, a club or the gym, or learning to catch the light rail or the bus on your own.
- Respite and short-term accommodation: time out for you and a break for the people who usually support you, planned around school holidays and family events.
- Supported Independent Living (SIL): daily support in your home with a consistent team, if SIL is in your plan.
- Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA): help to understand SDA and how support fits with it. We don't advertise individual homes.
- Support coordination: help to understand your plan and find providers near you, including ones other than Psych Connect.
Getting around the Gold Coast
The coast is long and narrow, so travel is part of planning good support. The G:link light rail runs from Helensvale through Southport, Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach to Burleigh Heads, and the Gold Coast train line has stations from Ormeau and Coomera down to Helensvale, Nerang, Robina and Varsity Lakes, with buses linking the rest. Many people use their community access to build the confidence to travel on their own. If you enjoy the beach, the City of Gold Coast's beach access program lends free beach wheelchairs and lays matting at a number of beaches; what's on offer changes by beach and season, so we check before planning an outing.
Getting started from anywhere on the Gold Coast
1. Send the form or call. Use the short form on this page or call 0403 828 422. A local team member will call you back the same business day (enquiries after hours or on weekends: next business day).
2. Have a friendly chat. We talk through your goals, your plan, where you live and the times you need support.
3. Meet your team. We match you with a support worker who can reach you reliably and suits you, then agree a start date. Every worker holds an NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid and CPR, and has completed the NDIS “Quality, Safety and You” orientation, plus a Blue Card where they support children.
Travel and costs
Because we travel to you, it's fair to ask about travel costs. Under the NDIS Pricing Arrangements, providers can claim some travel time with your agreement. We'll explain any travel costs clearly before support starts, so you can decide what works for your plan. We work with self-managed, plan-managed and NDIA-managed plans.
